AN-6510 Seat Parachute & Harness US Army Air Force Pilot WWII


WWII US Army Air Force fighter or bomber pilot seat parachute and harness assembly type S-1 / AN-6510. Made by SWITLIK. Dated May 1942. 42G2012 harness dated November 1943. 35N112-2 pack (superseded 1943 on by 42N2004-1) overhauled August 1943. Back pad 42D2013 stamped USAAF with name and unit. 47585-1 seat cushion dated August 1944. Canopy is still originally folded inside with safety lead. Totally original, all parts have been tacked with thread on the harness by the parachute riggers after having been adjusted to pilot's measures. Typical WWII fighter pilot or C-47, B-17 pilots and co-pilots flying gear.
