WWII allied pilots escape map made of printed silk. 1943 series. Dimensions 72 cm X 72 cm. Zones A/B (North West & South West of France/ center Belgium/part of Holland and Spain). Made in England during WWII, these maps were part of an escape kit stored in waterproof pouch printed "MAPS ONLY". Issued to pilots, paratroopers and special agents, these maps were used as scarves or sewn inside jacket's linings. Mint condition.
