Very rare WWII US Army Air Force pilot type E-3 survival kit container. Clear plastic with molded lid. made during the year 1943 and replaced by the E-3A kit from 1944 on. The kit included bouillon powder, safety matches, one "D" ration, dextrose sweets, chewing gum, benzedrine tabs, halazone tabs, an escape hack saw and an escape compass. Dimensions 105 mm X 135 mm X 35 mm.
