HGU-34 Flight helmet issued to a Navigator of the VP-47 of the US Navy, period 1986-89. The helmet is a HGU-34 model (PKR-37 base + EEK-4/AP visor cover) size LARGE, fully covered with original reflective tape and customized with a beautiful "Stars & Stripes" livery. Foam pads covered with black leather. Tinted visor. CX-4832 cord (mounted on aircraft equipped with the AIC-14 intercom system used on EA-6B Prowler, A-6 Intruder, C-2 greyhound, E-2 Hawkeye, S-2 tracker and P-3 Orion). Boom mic mounted on the left side of the oxygen mask receiver adjustment plate. The set also includes the flight log, the NATOPS training card and the souvenir book of the squadron during its mission in Japan. Superb piece with a exquisite customization highlighting this iconic helmet of the US Navy, of which unfortunately many examples have been devalued with kitchen jobs of VF or VFA squadrons liveries.
