From February 1944, AN-6519 will be the new designation for the B-4 life preserver as part of an effort to expedite mass production of a vest that could be issued to the Army or Navy Air Force (A-N=Army-Navy). This is the last upgraded version with integrated inflating tubes between the bladders before the introduction of the new B-5 pattern.
