Circa 1942 US Army Air Force and Navy fighter or bomber pilot seat parachute and harness assembly type AN-6510-1. War, Air Corps contract. 42G2012 harness made by SWITLIK, dated 1943. 42N2004-1 parachute pack (for 24 feet canopies) made by SWITLIK, dated 1943. Type 42D2013 back pad. 47565-1 seat cushion made by FASHION FROCKS dated 1942. Canopy is still originally folded inside. Typical WWII fighter pilot or C-47, B-17 pilots and co-pilots flying gear. The AN-6510-1 (dash 1 means white canopy and dash 2 red and white canopy) has been produced from 1943 to 1944 before being superseded by the S-5 with Irving quick release buckle from 1944 on.
