Rare "First Aid, Individual, Aircrew Member" kit in its original aluminum box with instructions stuck inside the cover. Circa 1945. This kit was introduced at the end of the Second World War and was mainly intended for the use of fighter pilots, the "Kit, First Aid, Aeronautic" having been considered too bulky for the fighters cockpit. Its compact size allowed it to be easily stowed in flight clothing or with personal effects. It includes a syrette, 1 "WOUND TABLETS" pack, safety pins, a bottle of water purification tablets, 1 roll of tape, 1 dressing, Sulfanilamide envelopes and 1 tube of ointment. Just missing the Benzedrine tablets box.
