Rare early US Navy or Marine Corps pilot's SV-1 survival vest, modified by the Parachute Riggers with additional external pockets for the MC-1 switchblade knife (included, made by SCHRADE WALDEN), the MK-79 signal kit's projector MK13 Mod 0 and its cartridges (included, cartridges fired and emptied). Inside the pockets is the two-part SEEK-1 survival kit, complete and in perfect condition, dated 1964, made by LITE INDUSTRIES. Also included, a regulation survival water drinking flask, a Navy MKIII signalling mirror and a 1964 dated US plastic whistle. The vest is dated 1962, made by STEINTHAL & CO. Perfectly homogeneous set. A typical piece of pilots survival gear from the early years of the Vietnam War.
