1970 USN Pilot AN/PRC-90 Survival Radio

Vietnam era US Navy or Marine Corps  pilot AN/PRC-90 survival radio. Dated 1970, made by SYLVANIA ELECTRIC PRODUCTS INC. . Complete with flexible 1/4 waves antenna. The earbud has been modified to plug directly the radio to the APH-6 helmet's coms without removing it. Essential to complete a US Navy SV-2 A/B survival vest. Introduced in the late 60's, these survival radios were developed to establish a communication between downed pilots and their rescue & recovery teams, they were still in use in the early 2000's.
