US Navy jet pilot’s helmet and oxygen mask ensemble from the Vietnam War era. The helmet is an APH-6B model, manufactured by SIERRA and dated 1969. Size MEDIUM and features a dual-visor system (clear and tinted) with "ramshorn" slides. It includes leather covered foam pads, earphones, a communication cord, and jack. The visor cover and helmet shell are covered in original, custom-applied reflective tape, bearing the colors of an unidentified unit. The oxygen mask is an A13-A (MS-22001) model, dated 1958, and comes equipped with a microphone and an MC3-A connector; it is a size MEDIUM. It features a Hardman hard shell with "butterfly" fasteners. The rubber on the mask shows some signs of wear—visible in the photographs—but it remains quite presentable and retains its flexibility. The set is period matching and belonged to the same pilot. The display stand is included.
