USAF P-3 Jet Pilot Flight Helmet & Mask 66th FIS
Circa 1956/57 US Air Force P-1A/P-3 flight helmet and MS-22001 oxygen mask, issued to 1st LT BERMAN, 66th Fighter Interceptor Squadron. Helmet is a type P-1A circa 1951-1953 production by Selby Shoe Company modified to P-3 standards with tinted visor and short brackets. Phenolic resin shell. Original 66th Fighter Interceptor squadron handpainted markings, pilot's name and rank. Complete with H-75 AIC headset on spring loaded "top hat" mounts, cable and U-93/U slim plug. US AIR FORCE stamped leather and nylon liner with maker's label. Also included is a MS-22001 oxygen mask, circa 1954-1956 in outstanding condition. Complete with M-32/AIC microphone and MC-3 connector. The grouping also includes the 66th FIS certificate and pilot's ID card. It's matching the period when the unit was flying Northrop F-89 Scorpion fighters. Rare named grouping in excellent condition. Display is included.
