4252nd Strategic Wing (376th from 1970 on) B-52 bomber pîlot US Air Force pilot flight helmet and oxygen mask set. helmet is a rare transitional HGU-2/P to HGU-2A/P jet pilot flight helmet, size MEDIUM, single tinted visor. Fiberglass shell and visor housing. Beautiful early 6 lobes securing screw. Dated 1966, made by SIERRA. Leather covered cushion pads. Avionics and side plug for the oxygen mask's microphone's jack. Also included a 1971 dated MBU-5/P oxygen mask, size REGULAR WIDE with straight bayonets, microphone, cable and jack. Also included is the matching period carrying bag named to the pilot. Display included.
