Black bakelite US Navy aircraft control stick grip type 1173-2, made by CUTLER-HAMMER.These grips were standard on several Navy aircrafts as the Vought Corsair F-4U (1943-44 versions without rockets), F6F Hellcat or F4F Wildcat. Main trigger for machine guns or cannons, butttons for bombs release on top. Presented on an altuglass stand. Total heigth: 180mm. Iconic item and piece of history coming from the first US fighter aircraft to top the 643,6 km/h mark. Heavily used by the Marines in 1943 during the Solomon Islands ops and the following years everywhere in the Pacific. The last versions will fly during the Korean War.
