Original US ARMY AIR FORCE type A-2 horsehide flight jacket, made by DUBOW, 1942 contract. US size 36. Embossed leather name tag. 63rd Troop Carrier squadron Australian made machine-embroidered Donald Duck insignia in cotton thread on wool background (variant with backwards lightning). Period CROWN zipper. Original lining. original waist and cuffs knitwear in fair condition with some repairs. The leather has no tears or repairs. Issued to Sgt Luther O. Holland Jr of the 403rd Troop Carrier Group, 63rd Troop Carrier Squadron, crew member on Douglas C-47 Dakota Skytrain in the Philippines. Second name handrwritten on lining, matching another member of the same Group. Also included is the shirt with sterling Air Crew Badge and Good Conduct Medal ribbon award, the USAAF summer cap with sterling Air Corps insignia and tie.
