US Army Air Force type B-10 flight jacket, circa 1943. Made of OD No. 3 cotton with wool and alpaca lining. Gold sheepskin collar. Made by SOVEREIGN MFG CO. Size 42. Original CONMAR zipper in excellent working condition with its leather pull. Original knitwear on wais and sleeves in very good condition despite some repairs. Wear and repairs on inner part of sleeves. Iconic and rare World War II flight jacket, originally designed to be worn with the A-9 trousers, intended for fighter and bomber pilots, but also for aircrew. It was replaced in mid-1944 by the B-15 model. The perfect jacket to complete a P-47 Thunderbolt or P-51 Mustang pilot display or a bomber crew member.
