British-made Royal Air Force MkIV 22C/111 flying goggles for pilots and crew. Black painted metal frame, padded leather nose bridge lined with chamois, leather strap. Two-piece laminated glass lenses. Due to their extreme manufacturing complexity and resulting fragility, this type of goggles was quickly abandoned in 1942 after several modifications. Flying helmet and oxygen mask are not included. A rare and outstanding piece of Battle of Britain flightgear.
