German Luftwaffe Fighter Pilot Channel Pants WWII
Circa 1942 German Luftwaffe pilot "Channel" lightweight summer flying trousers. Blue grey cotton with blue velvet lining on knees part. Size IIa. This is the lower part of the two pieces "Channel Suit" (referring to the English Channel during the Battle of Britain). Numerous pouches and compartments for survival items as flares, rations, signal flag, mirror, etc... ZIPP D.R.P (Deutsche Reich Patent) zippers (all working). Adjustable waist belt. These pants are often seen on period pics worn by fighter pilots matched with civilian cyclist leather jackets. Rare item, especially with the all the pockets and zippers intact. Period repair on rear part of left leg. Boots aren't included.
