B-4 pattern life preserver vest aka "Mae-West", US Army Air Force or Navy issue. 1944 contract made by NEW-YORK RUBBER CORP. Transitional model with both nomenclatures. Complete with all its straps, trigger and emergency inflation devices. Early small type carabiner. The vest has never been modified or inspected with later stamps. Pliable without tears or repairs.
