Rigger Modified MA-2 US Navy Jet Pilot Harness

A fine example of a US Navy or US Marine Corps Model MA-2 pilot harness, manufactured by Pioneer in the mid-1960s (Vietnam War era). Size: Medium Regular. Complete with all Koch shoulder fittings and RJE (Rocket Jet Engineering Company) waist fittings. Conmar zipper and  "V"-ring extraction point. The integrated suit was modified by parachute riggers to include a nylon pocket for the JPK survival knife and MC-1 switchblade (both not included), a chest-mounted pocket (left side) for the SDU-5 signal light, and a strap for the MX-991 angle-head flashlight. These harnesses were worn by aircrews flying the F-8 Crusader, F-4 Phantom, A-4 Skyhawk, A-6 Intruder, RA-5C Vigilante, and certain versions of the A-1 Skyraider. The Mk3c life preserver belt is not included but is available separately on the site. Issued to an A-4B Skyhawk pilot from the VA-831 Attack Squadron.
