WWII F-1 Pilot Survival Kit US Army Air Force
Very rare rubberized canvas cover for the US Army Air Force F-1 survival kit. The reference 40G7404 can be found in the 1943 edition of the US Army Air Force Class 13 catalogue. Standardized in 1940, this is the first survival kit ever developed for the USAAF. It was declared obsolete on December 1943. It contains a compass, a hunting knife, bandages, a flashlight, matches in waterproof container and a fishing line (not included). The cover is complete with the often missing lid.
