US Navy M-592 pilot's back survival bag. This is the first uncoated canvas model used until 1943-44. This pouch contains numerous pockets and snap-buttoned loops for survival equipment. Functional "TALON" zipper. These kits were intended to be attached to the pilot's back, under the parachute harness and life preserver. Dimensions 48 cm X 32 cm.
