US WWII M-1942 service jacket belonging to a US Army Air Force 2nd Lieutenant. Made of OD#51 barathea wool. US Tailor-made, dated July 1943. British-made 9th US Army Air Force shoulder patch (embroidered cotton on wool backing) on the left shoulder. Bullion pilot wings on an ultramarine blue wool background. Bullion officer "U.S." collar insignia and Army Air Corps winged propellers. Bullion 1st Lieutenant shoulder rank insignia. Overseas service stripe for a one-year period. Removable belt. Presidential Unit Citation ribbon; ribbon bars for the Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal (with bronze oak leaf cluster), and European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal (with two battle stars). Shirt and tie not included.
