WWII Ike Field Jacket US Army 8th 9th Air Force Gunner
Enlisted men and NCO's US Field Jacket aka Ike, US made, dated August 1944. Size 38R. Named to Sergeant Kermit BASSE, 367th Bomb Squadron, 306th Bomb Group B-17 gunner. US made sterling pin back gunner wings. U.S and Army Air Force collar discs. Presidential Unit Citation above right pocket. Cotton on wool embroidered 8th and 9th Air Force British made shoulder patches. Air Medal (with a second award), Good Conduct Medal and EAME campaign medal with one "Battle Star". 3 years service bar and 2 1/2 years overseas campaign bars on left sleeve. Cotton on wool woven Sergeant ranks. Named "K.BASSE" with laundry number on lining. Shirt and tie aren't included.
