WWII British made double sided fabric escape chart for FRANCE BELGIUM, HOLLAND and SPAIN, C/D zones. 1943 production. Dimensions 72 cm X 72 cm. Scale 1:250,000. Great and iconic item to wear, frame or simply display. These charts were part of escape kits issued to allied pilots, paratroopers and special agents before combat ops. They were stored in waterproof coated fabric envelopes stamped "MAPS ONLY". Inside you could find these charts with a button compass, a miniature saw and sometimes foreign currencies. Excellent condition, crisp colors, silk is pliable and brims are not fraying as it's usually the case.
