WWII USAAF Operation Frantic Blood Chit + Pouch


Printed double sided silk blood chit written in Russian with US. Made in 1944 for the FRANTIC operation from June to September during which the Bombers and their escorts from the 15th and 8th Air Force were taking off Russian airfields to bomb German targets usually beyond the range of aircrews when leaving from England. Dimensions 240 mm X 185 mm. With the original pouch to attach it to the equipment and prevent friendly fires on downed aircrews.
