1957 P-4A US Air Force Pilot Flight Helmet & Mask

Circa 1957-59 fighter pilot flight helmet and oxygen mask set. Helmet is a P-4A modified to P-4B specs, size LARGE, made by GENERAL TEXTILE MILLS INC. Helmet is complete with H-75 earphones mounted on spring loaded "top hat" frames, microphone's plug and extension cord. Original USAF transfer matching the helmet's type. The P-4A modified to P-4B specs has the rubber plug-filled hole at the back of the shell as the helmet comms are now plugged to the aircraft through the mask's cord. Oxygen mask is made by MINE SAFETY APPLIANCES, type MS-22001/MBU-3/P pattern dated 1959, size MEDIIM complete with microphone, cord and plug. Matching 3 pins 57B3661 aluminum connector connector (which be later used on the MBU-5/P from 1960 on). Great matching set, superb patina. Display is included.
