Without any existing Navy regulation made navigation charts bags, naval aviators often asked the aircraft carriers parachute riggers to make special bags like this on, made from nylon or vinyl. Complete with charts, lamp, knee board, air speed computer and DOD flight information book. As found from a Navy pilot's estate.
