Circa late 90's complete US Air Force 308th Fighter Squadron "Emerald Knights" General Dynamics F-16 Fighting Falcon pilot "Combat Edge" helmet and oxygen mask grouping. LARGE size HGU-55/P flight helmet made by GENTEX with tinted single visor. Black leather visor cover with 308th Fighter Squadron "Emerald Knights" patch. "Speedo" call sign on the back. Helmet is complete with avionics, TPL liner, leather ear cups. Side fasteners for the "banana clip" NVG base. Combat Edge occipital bladder. Leather earphones. MBU-20/P oxygen mask made by GENTEX, size MEDIUM/WIDE, dated 1998. Complete with cable, jack for mask's microphone and Combat Edge air hose and connector. Display bust is included. The Combat Edge system consists of an inflatable bladder in the back & sides of the helmet. When the pilot pulls heavy G's, the bladder inflates and forces the mask tighter against his face, thereby keeping a good oxygen seal.
